Technical Data for Epoxy Pipe Lining

Epoxy Pipe Liner and Structural Quality

The US Water Epoxy Pipe Liner Materials
US Water Liner Epoxy Pipe Lining The materials used are designed to meet the ASTM 1216 and ASTM F 1743 recommendations. The lining tube is made up of a durable woven polyester jacket with a reinforced polymeric membrane bonded to the interior. Once the liner is impregnated with resin and cured to the host pipe we are left with a "structural" repair designed to last up to 50 years. Each section of lining material installed is pressure tested up to 150 psi for quality assurance.

US Water Epoxy Pipe Liner Resins

The secret is in our resin. US Water Epoxy Pipe Liner utilizes some of the fastest and hardest curing resins in the world.

Our resin materials utilized in the pipelining process are designed to meet the NSF 61 certification. This resin material is odor free and contain “No Styrene”. It is completely safe for the potable water lining process. The resin is made up of 100% solids therefore shrinkage is not a factor. This ensures a tight bond between liner and host pipe, minimizing any chance for infiltration. Some of the additional benefits and characteristics of the resins are:
  • Provides excellent corrosion-resistance in many environments
  • Provides good physical properties
  • Resists sagging on vertical surfaces
  • Resists draining around reinforcements
  • Resin contains a special inhibitor system
  • Rapid curing at moderate temperatures
Coefficient Rating
It has been determined that after the US Water Liner process is complete the coefficient rating of the pipe May be equal or greater than the original host pipe. These calculations have been determined utilizing the “Hazen-Williams” calculations. The coefficients is typically 128 to 130 after pipelining. The polymeric inner membrane is designed to ensure water tightness.
